FBST: 2026 Summer Swim Season!

Snowflakes are falling but summer swim season is just around the corner!  We look forward to having new swimmers joining, returning athletes ready to improve their times and a full calendar of meets and events ahead - with plenty of team spirit!

To make it all happen, we are in need of a Parent Rep for the 2026 season*. This is a vital leadership role that helps coordinate communication, support coaches and ensure our season runs smoothly. To allow for a seamless transition and proper onboarding, we need to have this position filled by March 10.

To support our new Parent Rep and create a sustainable structure for future seasons, we're also asking additional parents to step forward and take on various roles outside of meet operations. Please see list of jobs and descriptions below.

By distributing responsibilities across a broader group, we reduce burnout, strengthen our program infrastructure, and ensure no single volunteer carries a large operational load. Many hands truly make light work - and a stronger team. Just as importantly, sharing the work helps preserve the special, close-knit bond that makes our team unique. The time and effort invested behind the scenes is truly a labor of love - a meaningful gift we give our swimmers so they can thrive, compete and create lifelong memories together.

If you are able to serve as Parent Rep or one of the other supporting roles, please email [email protected] / text 703.869.4124 by March 10. You can also email with questions or request clarifications on roles.

Our swimmers thrive because of the community behind them. Let's build an outstanding 2026 season together!

Jeanine Lundeberg, Parent Rep Emeritus :-)

* Jeanine Lundeberg will be stepping down from the role as she will not have swimmers on the team this season, but will fully support the incoming Parent Rep from the wings to ensure the team's success.
